    Advice please for kids hunting trip

    Hey all

    We have been trying to get away up to Lake Sumner for a night out/hike/meat hunt. We had planned to go to Pinnacle Hut but we have since learned it is a little too technical for our and 8 year old and it is booked out anyway.

    Any recommendations on where to go hiking and maybe pick up some meat with a night out in a hut. We are all fairly fit. Canterbury-based but travel no problem
