    Ahuriri valley

Planning a tramping trip into the Ahuriri valley - truck should be OK parked at the road end carpark for a couple of nights? Any recent reports of any ratbags operating in that area? Once bitten twice shy etc ...

    Cheers

Normally too much effort for most scumbags to go all the way in there, they tend to target easy access places like Arthurs Pass. Plus their lowered Skylines wouldn't make it up the Ahuriri road.

Accidently left my ute unlocked last year at the carpark at the end of the Ahuriri rd for 3 nights and there had been quite a bit of traffic up the valley. Came back and it was good as gold
