Mate, another resource you should be aware of is the Walking Access Commission. wams.org.nz Have a good look around the areas you plan to hunt & put the different 'layers' onto the map. It might show public access ways/areas that aren't otherwise known or sign posted.

i rekon ive been scouting that site too mate, an its a little clearer but thats where to green an white bits mentioned come in to play and why i asked as alot still looks like quite a border from where road ends?
