    Camping trip

Hi all, looking for a spot to take the family camping for a day or two where I can get a fish in somewhere along SH73 or around Lake Coleridge.
We've got a decent 4wd so getting into the bush to get away from others is ideal.
    Any ideas?

DoC camp site at lake Pearson
Fishing is better in lake grassmere a 5 minute drive from the DoC camp
Fish early to beat the wind

Round the back lake hawdon is a drive and a walk but more sheltered if it's windy
Pearson fish's ok but it's surrounded by willows so pretty restricted access withowithout a boat or kayak
    No motor boats allowed

Awesome, thanks for the ideas. I'll take a look on the topos and come up with something.
