That was me a couple of weeks ago.
We had sprinklers around one of the cabins we stayed at. Fires didnt come close luckily. It was only a small fire compared to the Alberta ones. They don't bother trying to hard to put them out, just save the amenities.
All everyone was talking about was how good the hunting will be there in a couple of years once the new growth comes.
Sarah called in a couple of smaller bulls like those ones too. One came in to about forty yards and hung around for a while. Cool animals.

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. I would love to read a report.

My Craig was recently on the Canadian fires shadowing the Alberta Fire Controller. Wonderful experience for him and invaluable for applying here when it happens. He has been on the Canadian, US and Australian fires now. Proud Dad. As you will be of your daughters.

Nice! All that meat- good eating? Like being a large male and all? Not sure I could have passed up on that first one, he looked in real good nick, shiny coat. Guess if you only have one tag, know what your about and do it every year, not so hard to make those choices. Especially if after a trophy. Big spread on the one taken. I'd have to build a bigger gunroom lol.

Yeah good stuff. But what it reminded me of is: what a cool country the USA is.
That countryside-nature, the amazing animals like the moose roaming around.
The average American is just as he described in the start.

Too easy to be cynical when all you see is the news and people like Trump, Epstein Biden and Co…
