About LinkBacksDougie, the native stinging nettle, ongaonga, is a deciduous plant...it is when it drops its leaves that it becomes potentially more dangerous to dogs as the sting will still be potent!! For humans who have gotten badly stung with it, lots and lots of black coffee is a good way to start!!!
Addend: the sting of the introduced nettle Urtica dioica can be relieved by rubbing dock leaves over the stung parts...it really does work!!
