    Trail Bike Rides BOP

Just wondering if there are any trail bike rides around BOP open to the public, Family friendly tracks. Just a fun day out with the family, wife and son can ride the farm tracks around here but want enjoy a full on Moto x track. Would also consider private paid riding tracks.
    Thanks

There is ( or was ) a trail bike track on a farm up Pongakawa Bush Rd which was quite popular. Not sure if it still operates but somebody here may know more details.

We just want to go some where for a bit of a ride no pressure with a bit of scenery. Stop and have a bit of lunch. I will be a pain staying in a motel some where with bikes.
I do hope to go on a honda kids camp later on the year when they are up and running again

maddix park mx track info on Tauranga mcc website or Rotorua mx track info on Rotorua mcc website or Tect park on tauranga direct road which is probably your best bet. Long time since I have been there but tect park /had mx track, kids mx track, trials area, enduro loops. Check out tect park you can go clay shooting ,pistol, soft air, paintball, but not sure if you need your own gear.

I have been doing a little research on thompsons track. Looks like it would be a good family adventure in the dry. The other place i might take the family is up the otipi in the motu over to the motu river. Bit closer to home. Our bikes are more farm bikes or geared down for the farm.
We only ever seem get away for over one night- 2 nights max as a family due to animal commitments so limited how far we go
