We went down the ‘old sneakers for creek crossing’ idea, you should have seen the look on Mrs Finnwolf face when she first stepped into the Rankleburn and felt the cold water - and again when putting on the wet sneakers for recrossing on the return trip!

She’s now just back from The Warehouse with some el cheapo ‘Crocks’ for each of us for creek crossing duties.

No deer seen let alone shot, sign was there but wind was all over the place like a mad woman’s poos....did find a real big arse pig wallow, about the depth and length of the Grand Canyon.

Mrs Finnwolf is keen to head back for another look, fingers crossed we can find a deer next time..

The wetsuit booties would have helped with the crossing!
