One easy possible fix can be to make sure your date and time is set correctly on you Mac, as it can cause this sometimes.

Otherwise, here are all the causes and they’re remedies:

Could be, Apple’s good at that. Either way, the solution should be somewhere in there. Good luck!

Welcome to the forum. Your computer stopped booting and there was alot of important data on his hard drive.
I guess English might not be your first language even though you are from "Oregon"
If you are legit please feel free to pop over to the introductions thread and introduce yourself.

I feel your pain when it doesn't work every time. Privacy glitches can be a real headache.

Now, while this reply might be fashionably late for you, let's think about the future peeps who'll stumble upon this. You know, sometimes those pesky connection issues can be due to date and time settings or even something funky with your antivirus. But here's the twist – I've found this cheap Windows keys subreddit with all sorts of tech insights. I know it sounds a bit counterintuitive, but trust me, some solutions can work universally.

Comes with computer problems....ends up getting pompous spelling lessons!

Dont worry about these nerds haha
Sounds like your standard 'tick in the wrong box' type thing mate. I get them with my pc and you just have to take the regular precautions (make backups of anything you're gonna change)
Trial and error till you get it to stop. For us with pc's its usually a registry thing but for you with an apple i have no idea. Is there a 'norton' type antivirus on apple? If so, burn it. Burn it with fire!

Haf similar. Got to where mine wouldnt oprn most websites. Too old to update safari rtc etc. So last week I laid the thing over an rsj and gave it the message with a sledgehammer, then sent the particle to the local dump. Never buy apple anything again.

I got tje geek speek runaround big time and wasted time and money for no change to planned market obsolesence. Geek speek is foreign and undecipherable to anyone over the age of 40. Actually I smashed another even older computer the same day. Seriously thinkinking about smashing the remaining one since a widows update stuffed its office email a couple of years ago.

It's not your Mac - its the site you are trying to access.

Your Mac is telling you that when it tries to establish a private connection to the site, the site is not responding correctly.

If you can install Opera, you can install Chrome for Mac.

If your Mac is really so old, as to be running tech from last decade, get a new Mac.

Do you think that you should be able to stream Netflix on an old black and white CRT TV?

I keep several Macs that are 12~15 yrs old running

Also one that is a 12" G4, 19 yr old laptop, that runs all sorts of non standard system stuff - on the basis that hackers these days, won't have the institutional knowledge, they're all 12, to hack or crack it, I use it for travel.

Whilst there are enthusiasts that could fix "pope..." s problem, looking for "any computer guy", on a hunting board, is no substitute for asking Dr Google with details like make, model, error message, et al.

Sometimes you gotta learn how to use your own stuff.
