Not sure what API means. Should I be worried?

Application Programming Interface.
Trademe has one for example - here's the API call for listings in Auckland for Tikka T3s. You could do fun things like filter the users to only show people who had also recently purchased a latte machine
Id be pissed if I was searching for something and came up with that
But if you make it an option that I cant click by mistake, and then you come up with some amusing stats then I would have no objection.

Well, this link should (if I've read the documentation right) return all of my user details. You won't find that link anywhere on the forum though. You have to make it up yourself. Usually you would write a computer program or web app and use it to go to the link, then use the stuff that's returned to make a graph or something.
