How long does it take for new members to gain access to the buy / sell / exchange feature?

Not a question that's gonna be answered, as stated to you in your intro thread there are reason's why the buy sell isn't available for new members.
Hang about, contribute and it will happen.

I didn't become a member for the buy sell ability, just wanted to gain info and knowledge...I got involved and read the threads and asked a few questions plus added input, didn't take long and the buy sell page automatically became avaliable mate.

yep, get involved it will happen
as Danny says, there is a massive influx of international scammers, and a few members got ripped off
also, my thoughts are I like the thought of stopping people from joining simply to take advantage of the good deals some good buggers on here put up

the number of times I have made something up here free and an unknown with 1 post pops up like yes, please
