I don't think it's that simple unfortunately, no reason you can't start a new one though. Please feel free to do that I'm sure those that contributed to the original thread will chime in again.

Not the time or the place.

Unfortunately when someone does get nuked all there posts and threads started get nuked too, it's not that simple to bring them back, it's well above my skill set I'm afraid.

If anyone still has the page in their browser history, you can sometimes copy the link and paste it into waybackmachine.org and it can have a record.

Someone on here will know much more about the black magic behind it than me, but could be worth a shot.

I have asked further up the chain, but it is beyond my skill set as previously mentioned

I will contribute again if needed, but we shouldn't have to.
A thread remembering a hell of a good guy shouldn't be treated like this.

It is slightly disturbing when things happen like this.

You need to understand the thread wasn't deleted out of disrespect to Cigar, and if i could i would snap my fingers and reinstate it. As previously mentioned it is what happens when someone gets nuked all of their posts and threads get nuked too....after the fact the member in question has been reinstated after pleading his case but unfortunately it seems it doesn't automatically reinstate their posts or threads.
This wasn't my doing, I have asked if there is anything that can be done about it.

I would suggest that it is a timely reminder that if people value this place and want to pay respect to those who have passed then dont behave in a manner that will get you booted.
This isn't a fault of any of the mods.

I shall try to put this in a more socially respectful tone. If and when someone is misbehaving and is indeed so far in breach of from rules they are in need of a good arse kicking MAYBE it might be better for the FORUM as a whole if they were poked into naughty corner,given a time out/week's holiday straight off.this then gives you hard working moderators the chance to also have another look at what's appropriate action to take and POSSIBLY then if the ban hammer of doom is decided is needed.figure out how to throw out the bathwater while still keeping the baby. I'm not privy to how this forums mechanics work but one way to do that..time consuming it may be is to hack/take over account.change password and log them off. Can't get back in and accounts previous posts remain in forum. You fellas doing a good job.im not TELLING you what to do,but are suggesting a way you may be able to do this problem area better.on another forum we kill transgressors posting ability

Posts being removed when a member gets the naughty stick is not normal and a technical fault, not really up for a big discussion about it
