Would be cool to have a collectors category where people can discuss rare/antique/vintage firearms.

That’s a really good idea. How do we get the moderators to look at this further? Seem to be a good crowd on here who are into older firearms and collectables

I am keen as I am into firearms of the NZ Wars, US Civil War, and the NZ Gold Rushes.

We are reluctant to add more sub-forums for increasingly niche areas that get few posts. This can be seen in many of the existing sub forums. It makes navigating the forum challenging, as well as moderating etc.

Maybe post a thread in the firearms subforum instead. If it is windy popular we'll consider a sub forum

I might just have to do that, but it definitely appears there are a few black powder shooters on here along with cowboy action shooters, etc who use alot of vintage stuff.

I stopped adding to this thread because it had gotten a bit older
But it would be nice to see some other guys passion projects

I'm a stuck record and really only do single shot rifles

Here are three classics that are representative of my areas of interest: .451 Whitworth rifle - NZ Wars, .56 Spencer carbine - US Civil War, .41 Henry Deringer - Otago Gold Rush.
