Just wondering how difficult it is to convert an a cat to E cat. I plan on buy an ar 15 but don't know whether to buy an a cat and convert later on.

If you want an E buy an E much less hassle in the long term
Obviously having your E endorsement is a prerequisite but it's simply a case of taking yourself and your rifle down to the local cop shop and completing a POL67X.
Only reason I'm asking is I am planning on buying one of these without the handguard and converting to E cat later on. https://nzar15.com/store/firearms/a-...ength-16-rifle

I agree that stock is not the prettiest and may end up getting replaced. Saying that, it looks strong and you might like once you are using it.
