    Drop for each ranges

How's everyone get their drop calculations for each range? 100m-800m? And how do you guys figure our your BDC for a custom turret?

Oh wicked, can I come around to your place and shoot your 800m range? Should have thought about that, there must be hundreds of 1000m ranges around Canterbury that everyone uses.

First I've heard of them, where are the located? Who runs them? I thought there was only handloaders and nzda?

That being said, I can imagine the drop on a 308 at 800m would be quite substantial, how do you set up a target to get the exact drop?

1st off I'm not a member of any club,
Second I no longer have the 08 so drop isn't an issue , having enough trouble just getting out let alone worrying about drop
There is a few well known doc land areas that will suit your needs

Put your data in to an app and then go shoot

Once you get a load sorted & zeroed, chrony it to get the speed, plug all the data into a ballistic App, you need a good quality dial up scope, most will then go shoot it at a few distances (say 500, 700) and see how that compares to your chart & adjust it from there.

Nice, all personal preference I guess, mine was around 280mm too but the grouping was will 80-90mm at 300 which I was happy with, I used a ballistic app yesterday out on doc land and was happily hitting a steel gong at 800m with the 308 and 175g pills, I want to go out to 1000m on gongs in the near future

That seems like a small amount of drop. What size pill and speed? Shooter app has my 6.5 having 12.3" of drop at 300. Unverified however.
