I have obviously just been through every process for renewal and more!!!
I have payed the $200+ for this endorsement and according to the expiry date on my new license, I’m going to have to do it again in 4 months!
Please tell me this is I f##k up!

It is much worse than you imagined, 338.

Here is more good news: you will have to WAIT after applying for your FAL renewal... and all that while your guns sit alone in the safe and you're not allowed to take them anywhere -- maybe not even touch them! This came out in the recent liaison meetings - they send out reminders for license renewal CLOSE TO THE TIME your license is due to expire.... NO NOT IN GOOD TIME! One fella had pre-empted this and had taken his renewal application to the cop shop three months early, and then had to fight them to get them to accept it. "No, no, not until WE send you out your reminder..." or bureaucratic whining to that effect. Anyway, he came prepared to stick up for himself and got the application in in time.

With Four months to go, by dead reckoning that gives you ONE month before you must swing into action.

So expect things to take 3 months currently...? Mines due part way through next year

Not sure about the 3 months, I'd not assume anything, but it is a good starting point. All you risk by being early is having your FAL renewed early, meaning you don't get full bang for your original license fee bucks. Survivable.

Rather that than not being allowed to play with my toys
