    This is fairly standard for Chrome on Android and it's bloody annoying. Sometimes the desktop mode seems to stick and other times it doesn't. I have a phone with more pixels than my TV and a 10 inch android tablet. If there was a way to globally change the default so that you always see the desktop version of the web site I would change it in a heartbeat.
