    Can a person buy firearms on online sites from overseas and import them to nz

    If you are prepared to do the paperwork and buy it from an actual exporter, then yea sure.

    Paid around $200 USD to get a single-shot .22 lr across the Merica/Canuckistan border plus an additional $200 for shipping and taxes. Having said that, I'd imagine that it would be far easier to buy something at a high price point from within the NZ market if you can. If not, then make sure it's worth it!
