    Exclamation IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

I would like to take the opportunity to formally extend an apology to the general forum community.

I have at times been a little pointed and abrupt about issues that could have been dealt with a little more discretely and maturely.

I am new to this and it's been a bit of a learning curve, please understand that my intent was to give back to the forum not to create more angst.

If there are issues then fellow members should feel comfortable to reach out and discuss these with me and I understand my manor has made me less than approachable.

I am big enough to admit my short fall and will endeavour to do better.

This is a difficult role to get your head around and I am learning that at times I have to take the passionate and emotive Danny hat off and extend a bit more courtesy and respect towards my fellow Forumites.

I can work on me and I will.

I'm not going anywhere this is a small but very tight knit community and we should all be on the same side.

Thanks to the rest of the Mod team for your support and advice.

I think Danny's contributions are many.

And I fully understand that anyone who works in (sorry don't want that out there) will out of necessity be pretty bloody frank.
So I will give plenty of allowance to him for that.

And I would like to openly thank the forum owner, admin and members for what they bring to this place.
Typically families ( broadest sense of the term ) are bloody challenging at the best of times. And these are not the best of times.
So we don't have to agree, but we do need to respect and accept differences.

    Cheers

Good on ya Danny takes a strong person to stand up and do that.
I'm sure it will go long way in gathering support from other members as well.

Nicely said Danny, I appreciate all the time and effort you (& all the mods) put into the upkeep of this forum.

ya calls a spade a spade...dont change mate.
you doing a good job...and filling a void that needed filled, moderator response time is at all time low/quickness,which is a great thing when something urgently needs rectified/removed for the good of all
like it or not,by being on here we are seen to be all one group,so what one posts ends up tarring all others with same brush
Im far too quick to get grumpy with folks too.....Im a work in progress too.....
the ignore function has helped no end with that bit.
    keep up the stirling effort.

I certainly do, but I can do better in how I deal with things....at the end of the day I cannot stop others from posting things that shouldn't be, but I can change the way I deal with it, which consequently will do me no end of good as well as none of us need to get all grumpy about something someone did or said on the internet.

Im not sure if your system allows it..but on huntingnut we transpher the offending post/thread into our moderators only section and let it sit n stew for a bit..good chance to bounce off other mods..THEN edit however concensus sees fit and then put it back up again.....that has advantage of keeping thread live but tweaks problimatic posts
might be helpful if you have ability to do it.

Problem is it sounds like more work for an already over worked admin

I won't get into specifics but we have ways, Appreciate all feedback and for the most part nothing on here is so time critical it cannot wait for a consensus of level heads.

I would like to see mods paid and members paying a join fee and annual sub. That would make a thankless task more palatable. It would also very likely make the job easier by reducing the spam members trying to defraud buyers
