Thread: Land access

Quick question, I live close by to some forestry in the upper Waikato and are keen to go in and have a look around. What's the best way to find out which forestry company owns it to be able to ask for permission/permit to hunt/look around. I assume it's through the areas council, but the forest doesn't exactly have an adress to look up. Any recommendations?

Most forestry companies have a big keep out sign with their name located somewhere on the boundary or at least they do down here. They also usually require you to have liability insurance, joining the NZDA gets you this.

Good to know ill have to have a look around from the road a bit more to see if I can see a sign anywhere. Cheers
