Thread: Lost data ....whats been done???

Whats been done to stop this happening again???

As its got shit to be honest with all that going 'back in time'....i know its 2 an bit weeks but its alot realy, considering its not been going that long?

Someone has to ask

2 problems - 1 was unnoticed, until the next one and then it was too late.

More drives, HOURLY backups, drive mirroring etc.
Same as before, but more, better, bigger, harder, faster

When a hard drive fails information/data is lost and can not be recovered if there is backed up data the system can be rolled back to the last backup date before the problem happened to get things kicking again, and that is one thing where computers let us down and that is when something fucks up and system backups are not up to date you will lose information. Anyway top effort to those involved in getting everything back up and running

Nothing is failproof, even backups. One of NZ's most popular forums lost almost two years of data back in 2007.

Is there stilll a few techie issues as the forums seem to be going up and down like a rooter?
