Thread: mobile pop-up

Any chance our fine forum techie admin people could get rid of the new pop-up that invites me to install an android app every single time I visit the forum on my phone?

It's a bit annoying having to wait for the page to load and then say no to the app before I can get into the forum each time, pity it doesn't remember that I've already said no to it.

It 'should' remember that you have said no as that bit is actually stored on your phone

Anyone else with issue?

The issue is with the specific devices and revisions of the software on them. Its a 6 month cookie that does what it should..
Basically - Android is shit

Thinking about it, firefox may be blocking it as a 3rd party cookie if it comes from the app maker not the site itself?

I gave tapatalk ten minutes, and it didn't work as easily as the full forum, so I binned it and just browse the forum in PC form on my iPhone. I've never run out of data so no problem there.. Sure it may make me a techno-dumbass, but do I care?

I've used tapatalk since day 1 and rarely use the full site.
Even on a old iPhone 4 it was easy
The new version is a little bit of a pain to deal with but I'm still using the old one

I guess it's just what you're used to

Tapatalk works well on my Samsung tablet, but regularly crashes my iPhone 4.
