The forums search engine is honestly pretty woeful.
I don't think it's anything the moderators have any input or control over it's in the program itself. Use google or Firefox it pulls up matches from here much more reliably

I've had variable results. Sometimes nothing, other times it seems to work.

I like this forum a lot, but if there's one thing that could be improved a lot it's the search function - I often struggle to find long threads I know exist using short and easily identifiable terms.
