Got this guy Tommysmith Tommysmiith010@gmail.com offering to sell me items, zero post count. North Carolina based apparently.

I had a bad experience recently in looking to buy, I put the word out for a set of die’s, a guy garysky02 said he knew someone who had a set for sale. He gave me the guy’s email address which I was grateful for. The guys name is Alex Raven, he sent me a photo of the die’s we agreed on $200 including freight. That was the last I hears from him, I have lodged a report with the police this morning for obtaining money by deception. Admin should have vetted this guy but they are clever, the guy garysky02 garysky02 is offline Banned, is now banned but the damage is done. He dealt with a few others on the forum, I hope they didn’t get stung like I did.

You have to use a little common sense, i will only buy from members that are active on this forum with a good post count.

Sad to report that I got stung for $200 last week. Both my bank and cops are onto it. It was s.s. Shooter (now banned) who referred me to a vendor. I didn’t twig until vendor who had my $$ claimed there was no one at home to receive the parcel he’d sent and it had been returned to him. Thankfully it wasn’t $200k as experienced by one elderly lady according to bank staff I spoke with. Bit pist with myself as I’ve always trusted people. Hope the crim is still looking over his shoulder.

Sorry to hear this has happened to you as well, I have received a message from another person who this has happened to on the forum. Be careful who you buy off, it’s easy to say because we want to trust each other but there are some clever ba***ards out there. Hopefully they catch this one.

Some people just need a good clip round the ear,not with yr bear hand tho.

If im going to buy something.I do my best to buy from the SouthIsland only.And if its a big ticket il take the money to their door if they got a address.If not,no money changes hand.Some bastard last year got hold of my card number,took $2.99 out of my pension account,i didnt see it till 3days later.WTF $95 went out to some Itunes account.I dont buy music,never heard of itunes.I rang bank,killed the card number.Bank couldnt get money back.So watch any credit card dealings you have.Theres always somebody watching from over seas.

Yep agree there although when I was scammed out of $550 by @Drewski he had over a 130 odd posts. I was pretty new to the forum and perhaps a little to trusting. Valuable lesson learnt with that one. Got a couple of excuses then he just disappeared.

Drewski- if it's who I'm thinking of, he is super shifty. Worked for a gunshop until they discovered he was shifting the cash sales into his own pocket.. A few years back now.
