There are still many, many firearms that are "legal".

The only thing stopping you from going out and buying one and enjoying hunting or shooting is ... YOU

yeah, for the next couple fof weeks, if we're lucky. Where the hell are you coming from, @ebf? Do you have some special exclusion that the rest of us are lacking? Let us know how it feels when the forces for good come to take away your bolt-actions, please? You dangerous gun-owner, you.

I take a more philosophical view of the current discussions - out of chaos will be formed something new - a solution. The current chaos and discussion is just a natural step towards that. Not even one year has passed since the 'Tahr Cull' and after a bit of chaos we got organised, chipped in and were heard.
Bring it on - all the difficult discussions, different opinions, political discussion. Nothing worthwhile in life is easy. Free speech is more valuable to me than my right to firearms. (I have not missed the reason this thread was started) Surely there is nothing wrong with the forum being a place where every member can express their views when such an important issue does come up.

    Good. Grief.

If you have large amounts of money to throw away no wonder you don’t GAF. Not all of us can go out and spend that way. If I could sell two to buy one I would but I can’t. Can you comprehend that echo bravo foxtrot?

...big assumption here: money tied up in now illegal firearms = no money to put into legal ones until payout received.

The only thing stopping this being ridiculous is that it may be true....
