Hard to tell if that’s a pisstake or not. Not a semi auto owner at the moment (was in the past) it guts me a little to hear and see other LFAOs seemingly unaffected concern that” my firearm is not affected so I don’t care..”. I don't particularly want to get drawn in to a protracted debate but I am interested in where the assertions that "they" are coming for all firearms has arisen. There has been no mention that I'm aware of that indicates an intention to outlaw simple bolt action hunting rifles. There has been a reaction to a tragedy caused by some nutjob with a semi-auto and hi capacity magazines - The government has responded by (rightly or wrongly. Too fast, too broad, too ill-considered?) banning semi-autos and high capacity mags. They have also taken some steps to try and impact hate-speech and race/ethnicity/religion based violence - I have seen lots of comments about how we will be stripped of all of our rights and freedoms but am yet to hear a reasonable explanation of how or why...

@Dorkus. I suggest you go right back to the dtart of the various threads related to March 15 and follow the govt releases via various media and posted on the forum. Do that research and things may become clear enough for you, without us having to endlessly spin the wheel.

It’s my view that eventually they’re gonna want way more restrictions on firearms leading to nobody having any.

Hi @Dorkus, Have a look at the 'comrade Jacinda' youtube clip and then read up on the same groups manifesto regarding 'small arms'.
I expect things to settle and I expect at some point we will have a change of Government that will put a stop to the firearms restrictions / controls. But until then Tarrant has given the anti-firearms brigade a once in a lifetime opportunity and they will make the most of it whilst Labour is in power. We have a Police force that favours these controls too. The next moves will be choking restrictions on ammo and reloading components. Then it would be very simple to also restrict or place impediments in the way of hunting on DOC estate. The only thing we have in our favour is the free pest control we provide and 1080 negates the need for that, so during the term of the current govt we are in for a 'butt fucking'

Yes the Politics and the constant dribble that goes with it has infected this place since that day.
We had to create a new section to try and contain it to one place as it is/was a constant job removing it.
There really isnt another option viable at this time.

I think about all you can do without shutting this great forum down is have one thread somehow isolated from public view unless your a member where all the ranters and shit stirrers can go and vent and squabble amongs each other if they choose make the title obvious what it contains other wise some retard will go there knowing what they are going to see and fukn whinge about it and sooner or later they will get over it and come back refreshed and hopefully with some hunting stories
