Thread: 2015 Rotorua Long Range Field Target Shoot

Yeah it is a bunch of fun... but seriously challenging. After a couple of years where I have had a couple of complaints from competitors about the difficulty though I feel I need to point it out now.

Still, we had a competitor (a hunter, not a target shooter so much) last year that this event was his first competition shoot of this style. He ended up 5th or something, shot really well with a rifle he was obviously familiar with. He had a good competitor spotting for him as well (which helps) but that takes nothing away from him shooting very well. Every year we have also had competitors who have hit less than 10% of their shots for the day... Generally, if a competitor makes it over halfway in hits they are in serious contention to pick up the top individual trophy.
