    22 LR ammo test

I have some more 22 ammo to test in the weekend.

Looking to mainly do some velocity & es testing first just for the info.

Will get some more accuracy testing & tuner settings done inside when I get the chance.

Then it will be interesting to see how they go at 50, 100 & 200, need some great conditions for that though

Will be interested to see how the SK flat nose goes, I see their ballistics show only a typical 8 inch drop at 100 yds similar to most standard vel stuff.
Whats the top right ammo ?

    Its Eley Black Match

The Flatnose moves around more in the wind...shoots great inside...

years back we used AUSSIE AMMO and Ive never seen it since,it was a semi hollow point,eg it just had a dimple in the nose, plurry awesome round on possoms or goats.... the flat nose stuff caught my eye too John....it should hit rather hard.

A terrible EVIL thing to have that much ammunition in your possession, @Kiwi Greg...

When I went down the rimfire benchrest rabbit hole SK pistol match was only a fraction behind Lapua Midas in accuracy at a fraction of the cost .
Also Lapua Pistol King shot really well in my rifles , it would be interesting to know if there is powder differences between Pistol and rifle ammo ?
FALL IN LOVE WITH THE NUMBERS , NOT THE IDEA

IIRC, the Rifle, flat nose & pistol match, had the same velocities in a previous test.

I think the pistol match special & biathlon will be faster possibly the long range as well, looking at the chart below...

Interestingly Litz has the round nose rifle match G1 BC at 0.122...bit of a difference....

    Time will tell

The Claw has been doing some accuracy testing at 100-200 metres with some outstanding results with most of the ammo you have got shown I think?

years back i id a test on 22lr, not so much accuracy but just "dirty residue" on powder.
    worst ever : remington
kilwell was better( though apparently was made by winchester)

    then winchester
cci stood above the rest for clean burn and consistency
i have used eley etc but never target nested it or burned a few powders to see how much "tar" it left behind
