    .28 Nosler

Anyone shooting the .28 Nosler? Is it a factory round? Does anyone have a spare loaded round I could add to my cartridge collection? I'm happy tp pick up anywhere in Akl.

27 Nosler would be the go with a 170 Berger 1in 8 twist. Still waiting to hear how Frazer got on doing that with the 1 in 8 Lilga in 270.

You can bet every way of improving it has already been tried....necking it up to 30cal has proven very successful!

Some report the ai has negligible improvement. The gibbs is a notch up though sounds like a faff to form cases.

What do you know. Brass, dies available. Yanks did it last year by the looks of it. Might be about 3200 with the 170 Berger and 3500 with a 150

Is there a 270 you don’t have Ryan? Your the crazy b man. 27 nosler would still be supersonic at 1500m. Nice. Some aussi hunters turned up yesterday. They had a video of shooting rabbits at 250m wit 300wm and 180sst doing 3100. Funny as shit they just exploded into the air.

@Ryan_Songhurst one of the very first articles I found, and there was a little something about an Allen magnum. Interesting-looed the Allen magnum website up. they do a few rather large overbore calibres from 25 up to a fecking ginormous 510
The 270 Am is based on a 300 Remington ultra mag-169.5gr custom pushing 3450fps
    https://www.longrangehunting.com/thr...nosler.192273/

"I have a .270 Allen Magnum (one of the first Kirby built) with a 30" Lilja, 3 groove that attains phenominal velocities for this caliber (3650fps for 140gn Ballistic Tip) without reaching top loads. I shot a few of these during fire forming but decided to go the COW method to preserve my barrel.
The heaviest I currently have is the Wildcat 169.5gn RBBT ULD and the Berger EOL 170gn Elite Hunter. Last year I ran those at 3450fps (95gn US869) but decided to back off to 93gn and reset everything for 3340fps. That takes me from 14.25 to 15.75 MOA at 1K "
