Im looking at a single shot suppressed rifle, is 300BLK fairly well established as a round or am I better looking at 7.62x39 and purchasing some reloading gear to make my own subsonics?

7.62x39 Do you want too shoot cheap steel case ammo? Do you want a more grunt with factory supersonics? get 7.62x39 It needs a longer barrel to get the best return on the slower powder. Remember the projectiles should be .310/.311 cal and are less common (same as 303). I have loaded x39 subsonic and they worked well. Unfortunately unless you have a rifle with fast twist barrel it may not shoot the heavier subs well.
300AAC/BLK Costly to shoot with factory ammo, you will want reloading gear. But you can get good velocity with short barrels (don't bother with more than 16 inches). You can also shoot .308 cal projectiles. Most barrels are 1/7 or 1/8 so good up to about 250 grain projectiles.
Get 300AAC and reloading gear. Trust me you will love it, but get a decent suppressor. It can be very quiet.
Thats a good point, 300AAC/BLK is probabally a good option being able to possibally use projectiles for my 300wm I have if I get into reloading for that.
You can get 7.62x39 ammo for like $375 for 1440 rounds.
Aoraki ammo. I might have mis-remembered but it's extremely cheap

sorry @JRW87 for hijacking your thread.
Spotted some Nosler hunting rounds, I already usually use the 125gr BTSP's then noticed these in a slightly heavier 168's turn up in Reloaders. My Rugers a 1 in 7 so handles the extra weight fine and dandy at super speed and still managed to get 16 gr of 2206 in the cases and the OAL to - just fit in the American magazine (still well under the Saami gudeline for max length)
Result - very happy group better than the 125's did so might be my new "Go To" hunting Super for the 300 BLK and being a bit longer are closer to the SMK's profile I use for my target load.
Be keen to know how others refinements in their loads are going....
