@Sh00ter The Americans found that out in Afghanistan when snipers pinned troops down with their Lee Enfields and Mosins from outside 5.56 range. Also; if I remember correctly (and I may be wrong) they were being sniped at from above which compounded the problem of trying to retaliate....
