thats awesome. iv got one of those rifles makes me want to try that out only problem is who has a 3000 yard range i can use haha
Really cool video. Now imagine a section or platoon doing it, thats a decent beaten zone.
For comparison section range for 5.56 is 500m and thats with optics.
They had a completely different way of doing things back then.
Time between shooting and impact really shows how far away it is....

Long way alright, some rounds were pretty close.
Time to the impact was unreal. If you were fast enough, I think you could get 2-3 rounds in the air at the same time.

@Sh00ter The Americans found that out in Afghanistan when snipers pinned troops down with their Lee Enfields and Mosins from outside 5.56 range. Also; if I remember correctly (and I may be wrong) they were being sniped at from above which compounded the problem of trying to retaliate....Quote:
