    350 Legend

Anyone shooting a 350 Legend yet?
Looks very interesting in the Ruger Ranch since it feeds through AR15 mags.

Article suggests AR mags can’t be used due to feed ramp and follower shape not suiting the 350 Legend. The base is blown out a bit from the dimensions of the 5.56 or .223.
10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.

Made for places that only allow straight wall cases or to fit in ARs. Why is it relevant here? If I wanted a short range heavy hitter I would go with a 358win and call it done.

Short action compatible, usable in 10 round capacity detachable magazine, terminal performance exceeding 30-30 but with less recoil, which makes viable for lighter rifles for lighter weight shooters (ladies and youth) ……… and someone might even chamber it for a lever action.

You are right, nothing to see here ………

Could be a fun fun round for bush bashing, toss a can on the end plenty of grunt out to 100m without having to worry about a pass through or miss ending up a km away!

Why not a 450 bush master?

I've got a 450 marlin and 44 mag but the 357 is really useful on small farm blocks with bush gullies and goats, much easier to keep the noise down!

So just a 35 Remington by another name as far as we are concerned.

Yea pretty close to the 35 Remington, with the Remington having a slight edge in powder, quite a lot of chatter about, the straight wall case rule, is in several states, and cover a fair area,
I see Marlin, has bought back the .444 in 1895, think that would be my choice, for a straight wall case.

Seems a bit of a look to the past to find something new. The cartridge just seems to be an update of the 1906 351 winchester self loading.

big difference is that it fits the AR platform which would suit a lot of people over there.
Not a lot of reason here to have one in a bolt action unless you really wanted one.
    Which is fine BTW
