Thread: 7.62x39 ammom needed ASAP

Hi guys, I NEED to burn my Ak once more before it has to go..... who wants to sell me a couple hundred rounds for it?
I burnt all mine up last weekend and need to do a night shoot with it for the camera.
Kinda urgent so if anyone around the north shore has a stack of very soon to be surplus to requirements ammo then please pm me.

So am I right, from what I've read, it's technically illegal to use 'prohibited' firearms So everyone with a stockpile can't do anything with it?

Pulled 7.62x39 bullets are fine for .303s, but .303 surplus is currently too cheap to make it worth the effort.

And where are you getting 303 for under $1.50 per pop?.
A clever fella and there are plenty here could take a 303, shorten the chamber mod the extractor and magazine and have a bolt gun to dispose of that ammunition quite quickly.

Bought 100 x .303 HXP from GC a few weeks back, $0.99 each.

The 7.62x39 conversion of .303 is less sexy when you only have 10 round mags - unless perhaps you can get it to accept SKS 10rd stripper clips.

I was thinking of getting my hands on a drum mag for my tactical .303

Then I learnt those sad pricks wont let a bolt action have more than ten shots. Boo.
