Thread: 7mm Fatso. What's involved in case forming?

Thinking about another build and was reading Greg Duleys article on Long Range Hunting which has got me interested. Especially since Berger has launched their 195gr.

I've lost his article but from what I remember there was a bit involved in case forming? However, what sparked my interest was the comment made on the LRH article about how brass for the Fatso was easier to make because of Norma's newly released cases (.338 Norma Mag??) .

Anyway, with regards to action, short or long? I seem to recall Greg built his Fatso on a Remington 700 short action with Wyatts extended magazine. I'm guessing that to run the 195gr you'd require a long action?

Any other information would be appreciated.
