    930 yards Remington Compact

    Hey chaps this is from yesterday arvo... I took the long way home, the wind looked fairly predictable so it was prime time to get this budget built 7 mag out for a field trial

    I only really built this as a general 0-600 rifle, but it's just so accurate and the numbers add up so it can be pushed further.

    Did you have to bed the action in the stock Doc?
    I have put a bell and carlson medalist on my 700 and haven't bedded it but I think it needs the bedding block done.

    Yeah the high tech stocks are pretty darn rough to start off.
    I had it bedded, he did a great job on pillars and the bedding.

    Hi Dr, any chance on full info on the rifle.. set up etc?
    I might have missed a thread that you have already done on it... if so a point in the right direction for a straggler?

    It's a 162 grain Hornady Amax

    One of the best long range bullets in 7mm in my opinion
