Just a thought @dannyb is your mate on the tools?
If so he might suffer from lack of feeling in his finger tips. Thus he likes the heavier trigger.
Might have also been said, but did you test for slam fire after adjusting the trigger. Ie cock the rifle on an empty chamber and the drop it onto its but an see if it beats the trigger and fires.

This is one of the major plus points of a T3. The factory trigger is very good out of the box and lightening it is easy and foolproof as the Allen key screw Cam refers to can only screw out so far. It’s so much easier and more intuitive than the Remington trigger.
Thank you for sharing this. So, basically that Norinco CS/LR4 sniper rifle with trigger pull weight over 8lbs is totally a horse apple. The funny thing is that they selling it for over 60,000 dollars.
