How many South Island members would be interested in one or two of these or just a square or rectangle plate?

I'd be keen for a large plate at the very least. So @223nut and I are Invercargill end of the country
Is there a price on a spinner ,(plate only) yet?

I dont want to go cutting @mucko 's lunch so will stay out of supplying NI.
If I do it I will probably do it as a perk if possible then I get some beer money and people get a decent deal especially if freighted by forum members.
I just want a FIRM show of hands before I book up 1-2k on my tool account for plate.

In my experience if you are shooting at it with rifles it needs to be 400 plus, the brand ie hardox/biz/G450/G500/AR500 is all but Irrelevant.
You NEED 400 plus but no more than that, biz has got a bad name in some circles because of biz80, which is a high strength steel....it is not hard/can easily be drilled and will be cut up by high velocity bullets and was never designed as a high impact/wear steel..... that is 400 also conveniently called "Biz" or Bisalloy

I have a range of steel targets now. Some of my early targets are 16mm bis400 and they have been fine but they are heavier than they need to be and don't react as well when hit. We have had to clean a few of them up as well. I have had some 16mm bis80 stuff as well (arrived not as advertised) and after trying them they are in the scrap steel pile. A reminder to a lesson learned.
Newer targets I have are 12mm AR500 and hardox G450 (I think!?!) and I have been very happy with them so far - lighter weight, ring better, react better, and I am yet to have to clean any of them up. Really good target material and I would struggle to accept anything less now.
The other point of discussion is the hole arrangement in the gongs. All of my targets have a hole to suit either a M10 or M12 bolt in each top corner. These days I am using old fire hoses as straps to hand them with and this works better with two holes close together in the top centre of the target. This allows the target to react more when hit i.e. it can twist around a single strap but you still have two bolts holding it in case one gets hit and broken. Grade 8.8 or higher bolts are of an advantage and even more so if you hard face them with a welder first!
You cannot miss fast enough!
