    Anyone near Whangarei wanting to give long range a try?

    On Sunday there is a NRA shoot at the Kauri Mountain range. You get to it from Taiharuru Road, about 300m past Kauri Mountain Road. It is 300yd shooting and the following weekend it is 8-900yds. Shooting starts at 9.00am. Feel free to bring your own rifle for a go if you want or there is a club rifle or two. $5 range fee.

    Nice one.. I wouldn't mind giving it a go but its a bit far to travel...
    Treat every firearm as loaded - Always point firearms in a safe direction - Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Identify your target beyond all doubt - Check your firing zone - Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
