    I shoot a .338 in a Sako TRG M10.
Depending on the projectile I use it comes out to about $2 to $2.60 per round (not including brass as that's pretty much a one off cost).
I could lower the more cost by purchasing components in larger quantities.

$7.00 a round for ammo for my wifes Barret .50 cal. Reloading 50 cal ammo needs a lot of expensive gear though, so i will just keep on shooting mil spec FMJ ammo

Yep it the PMC ammo. Goes pretty well, but i need 750 grain amax to get good accuracy at long range though.

The earlier batch of PMC was much better than the latest batch.

If you want accuracy out of a 50, Brass is critical as is the projectile, Amax over FMJ everyday

I shoot a hs precision htr 2000 338 and shoot the 285 eldm at 2850 from a 26” barrel using 95gr 2225. Have made successful hits on a ipsc target at 1 mile and 2km within 4 rounds. Targets were hidden in tussocks at a comp. with the 338 it is best to use lapua brass because it has a heavier designed case for the 338 lm. With the heavy 338 projectiles they cost about $2.6 to $3 a round to load plus 50c a firing for brass if you get 10x out of the lapua.
Have 2 mates with 50cal on a steyr the other a dta. Both shooting the pmc 660 I think. Not the most accurate in the world. My mate with the steyr did hit a 2km 1m sq target twice out of 5 the other day with it though.
