Safety , background etc all has to be studied properly first remember the 3kms plus rule.
Wicked as when you .308 Pukes and Rabbits and Magpies looks like someone having a pillow fight..
Living rurally and having mates the same does make it kinda easy.We have some massive farms to shoot on so a bit lucky.
Smack some pigeons with your large caliber its great fun.. You should see my mate 300 Win Mag stalking Magpies..
He knocks them over at 250 mtrs and thats using the rangefinder. I do think it improves your safety aspect and definitely gets you used to having a firearm in your hands.
Its gotta be a lot safer than hunting with once a year hunters who hardly ever handle a high power firearm..

I totally agree. I'm getting in as much boom-time as I can. Still parting with my hard earned on the ammo too. By the way who bought all the bloody A-max's??? they're as rare as hens teeth atm. I'm using up all my lapua target ammo and reloading with 140gn Amax 'cause i figgure i'd rather be focussing on field shooting/hunting for a while.

No probs with Amaxes, who wants what? There will be a delay but better than 6 weeks, Not 100% on price but wont be rediculos, depends on exchange rate.
There will also be minimum amounts too, could be around 500-600 min order.
