Greetings All,
Thanks @Cyclops for your sage advice. I think the example quoted demonstrates that is not only the Arms Act that needs to be complied with when creating a rifle range and that the costs can be extensive even before the first shovel full of gravel is dug. Yet another reason why we need to consolidate on the Rifle Ranges we have before thinking about green field development.
Regards Grandpamac.
I have a couple of planned service station builds going through the same process, experts up the ying yang clipping the ticket along the way.
Building one now that's going to have a concrete traffic island constructed in the median strip to stop vehicles turning right when the exit the site on a 27,000 vehicles per day road in suburban Auckland and it's been approved by AT and the local ward councilors, it's within 100 mtrs of a major set of traffic lights where right turning traffic backs up 200m in the median strip to let through traffic go straight ahead. It's busy as hell and this new island is going to fair piss the locals off but i'm just the contractor.
The traffic management plan only allows us to work from 11am - 2pm
Shit the only hope is David Seymour ripping into the RC red tape and dickheads dreaming up this shit.
bump.
submissions will be closing in a few days, any help is appreciated.
many thanks
