    Same calibre but different primer. Is the bullet the same as the main lot ? I don't know what's causing the brass oxidation.
    If you're not happy with it return it to the store and tell them to exchange for another pack which you should check before leaving.

    It's not uncommon to find a slightly tarnished cartridge in a box of factory ammo, but that looks excessive and the primer appears to be different.
    Can we see a pic of the grubby cartridge next to a shiny one please? out of the plastic holder.

    About 6 months ago I had exactly the same issue. This was a box of 150g .308 corelokt from Hammills. I took it back and asked to swap out out the dodgy bullet for a clean one. I've hunted for only a couple of years but I didn't want a bullet to fail because of something funky happening with primer.

    From memory it was in the same place in the box. I wonder if there is a mechanical issue from packaging them that causes the tarnishing?
