    Best 303 zero

A licensed work mate has asked me to sight in his 303 as I have range visits incorporated into my nzda membership fee.

Going to Google but thought I'd ask here.

What's a good zero to have where it bang on and then point and shoot out to 300 metres.

    I know for 308. It's 3 inch high at 100.

    Cheers.

He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

Battle sight for the no 4 was 0-300 then a twiddly dial out to 1400. The 03 ballistically is not too far behind the 308, with 150 gr you can match the 2 for velocity quite easily. A 200 yd zero should give a mrt of around 3 1/2 in at 100 over open sights plenty good enough to plant things to 300.

    Probably a 150. Maybe a 180 grain.

3---3 1/2" will see you right..UNLESS he has put a silly high look under mount on it in which case go dead on or it will be a bitch at anything in between.

Yep. Zero 3" high at 100 and hold 3" low at 100 when shooting, hold dead on at 200 and hold 8" high at 300. Pretty straight forward with 150-174 grn.
