    Best App?

    Hey team,

    Currently have an iPhone, looking at different ballistic apps;

    iSnipe
    iStrelock
    Strelock pro.

What are your thoughts? Have herd that Strelock is pretty good on both platforms (android and apple).

Feel free to post up any other good apps for Android or Apple users as well.

    Cheers.

Hey Carl I use strelok basic has worked well for me so far, another good one the lads use is Shooter as Gibo stated.

I've only shot out to 400m with Strelok but the two lads who use shooter shot out to 800m, seemed to work well. Both apps allow a lot of user input.

I use strelok. I like it because you can have it on your iPhone and your iPod and upload/download the file using dropbox. So, you can sit in front of the fire and work on the big iPad screen for loading all your data, export it to dropbox, then download the file to your iPhone for field use. You can also email yourself the ballistic tables and import them into excel for making up your drop charts to affix to your rifle. It also has a huge database of reticles which it will calibrate for you based on your load, scope FFP or SFP, and magnification.

Here's one of mine that I made up for the .17HMR

Use and like Streklok in the field. The only downside is that there's a multitude of reticles you can choose from, you can be scrolling through quite a lot :-)

applied ballistics as been done by litz and hodnett who can actually shoot and also all litz's g7 doplar radar data.
not cheap but tried and true.
trail havn't got the bullet library yet and confusing if you don't know what drag coefficient is!
I like the dta firearms though as almost as good as trg's!😉

Thats what the 'search reticle' button is for (as long as you know what your reticle is called not just what it looks like)

Hey thanks lads, particularly @hotbarrels. That's a solid review, so I might hit up Strelock. Just to confirm... What version is that? iStrelock or Strelock Pro?

I use Strelock, have had limited experience with Shooter and found Strelock much simpler to use.
Seems to give the same values as any other ballistic app or computer program, and it's free so found no reason to change.

Have used Strelok for years work great for me.
Its database is regularly updated by designer and has the latest recticles
Hunting is relaxing just like Yoga except I get to kill something.
If it Flies it dies and if it hops it drops.

Lol, typical. The Sightron 3.5-10x44 Mildot isn't on there (iStrelock) only the modified one is. The Zeiss one looks exactly the same though, would there be any problem with using that?
