    BORE SNAKE CLEAN

After firing a few rounds thinking my scope wasn't tracking accurately.Gave the tika a bore snake clean and went to the range this morning.Barrel won't stay hot long in our winter mornings.
Meet Zeb there from Temuka with all his toys, nice.I hopefully only needed to fire a few rounds,2 flyers and 3 for a group.Zeb let me go ahead while his rifle cooled down.Well I fired 2 shots off the bonnet of the truck, woow thats all I need.Cleaning with hoppes I get a couple of flyers 1st then a tightish group of 3 afterwards.
Maybe the bore snake is a softer cleaner than the hoppes9 ?any how il leave the scope alone now.Zebs 7ml mag must have woken up every rabbit with in 5 ks with its earth shaking noise, lols
Heres my result after a quick bore snake clean using Hornady 165gr ssts.

yeah..I get same deal with 3 patches on jag...one with breakfree CLP... flip it over and poke through again, then same with a dry patch..then again with CLP to leave little bit coating bore
only do the hoppes thing every 6 months to a year or maybe even two... they are clean but the buildup of copper etc hasnt moved so bore shoots the same.

I BELIEVE its because you using boresnake and me using simple patches are simply giving it a bit of a whipe over ,removing the bulky crud, unburnt powder and adding a little "something" to semi coat bore VS using hoppes etc is stripping back to bare metal
so we are in effect still using a fouled bore

Hoppes doesn't so much stink as it invades the insides of your nostrils and leaves a coating there worse than lynx africa
