Bruce Rifle Club - Service Rifle Competition 2015

The date for the Fifth Annual Bruce Rifle Club Service Rifle Competition is 18 October 2015.

Entry packs will be emailed out to Members and known Supporters next weekend. If there are any non-members out there who wish to compete, please PM me with your email address and I'll add you to the list.

Shoot format and Course of Fire is to be similar to the last two SRCs, but this year by request we will have unscored sighters as part of the first event. Range 200m, 50rnds (bring 60-70 just in case). Fig 12 targets. More info can be found at http://brcsrc.webs.com/ or https://www.facebook.com/brcincnz

Three classes, five matches with a trophy up for grabs in each Class; Bolt action Open Sight, MSSA Open Sight, MSSA Optical Sight. All rifles to be in as issued configuration and ammo to be milsurp or hand loads to replicate the standard military round.

Entry fee is $20 per class and you can enter as many classes as you like. Please check the Rules on the website before choosing which rifle(s) you are going to shoot. There is no Open Class. Loan rifles available upon request.

We again will have food and drinks available, at modest cost - along with a Prize Draw at the end of the day of goodies that have been donated by our sponsors.

We run this shoot as a bit of a get-together and a way of promoting service rifle shooting in general and our regular SR activities at the BRC in particular.

100% of the profit from this shoot goes towards the cost of range improvements, which only ever seem to increase annually. The profits from the past few SRCs have gone towards refurbishing the 200m mound and attempting to make the vehicle a little more 'all-weather'....

Keep an eye on the website mentioned above for more details in the coming weeks.... http://brcsrc.webs.com/
