I didn't say that. I said NZDA is more safety conscious.

Fair enough, can you explain how it's more safety conscious?

Every use of the NZDA range has to be supervised by an RO. Most RO's are not key holders so both access and use of the range is controlled.

This can be bloody frustrating when you just want to go and have a shoot but it's been done that way for a reason.

So the NZDA doesn't trust its members. Lol

I like the Handloaders as its open 24/7 & you can go shoot when you want.

Correct. On the plus side our range had never burnt down due to members using banned tracer ammo.

That's just rumour, the club contacted a lot of members who were shooting there that week & no one saw anyone using tracer.

So what was the reason for the fire, if not tracer?

(not trying to start a s%^t fight, just keen on hearing why ranges burn - so can try and stop it potentially happening to ours)

I would have thought that range safety wouldn't differentiate between ranges. Attitude and atmosphere could certainly vary....
