    Cheek Riser

Gidday guys. Interested to hear what you all are using for cheek risers to get a better, more natural weld on your stock and lining your eye up with your scope. Interested in hearing everything from DIY attempts to off the shelf. Rifle is a Tikka t3x and is a do everything out to 600 yd setup. Scope is on the lowest rings possible but find I’m having to hold my face where it’s comfortable instead of resting where it’s comfortable and repeatable. Anybody bought the adjustable ones and drilled the stock? Thought these would be better as you can take them off for cleaning and removing bolt etc while marking you setting for the next trip. Cheers

I bought a couple off @Tallkiwi that you heat up to make them malleable. Fit them to your stock with double sided tape that he sent with them. I put a Twinneedle stock pack over the top of that and it sits quite nicely.

If you have a garden and a library, you have all you need. Oh, and a dog, and a rifle

I have two x 5mm foam pads on my Tikka stock with stock pack over the top to make it look prettier.
Needed it, as I have a 20MOA Talleys rail on the receiver.

Buy some kydex and some heavy duty outdoor adhesive Velcro strips. Mild it to the shape of the stick and adjust the height to suit

Take a look at the Bradley's. You get a tight grip to rhe stock and variable height adjustment.

Hahaha I’ve got some old camping foam mat and some vet wrap, oh yea and some duct tape because the vet wrap started to come loose.

It’s bloody mint and has been on there for ages.

Have an identical setup on my long-range rig, minus the vet tape. Just used a heap of electro. Functions perfectly, and is watertight. I'd only do it on a synthetic stock mind you. If it was wood, I'd come up with something else to better preserve the wood. Unless it was a bush pig that I didn't care much about in the cosmetics department.

If you don't mind slicing the stock a wee bit then this would be the duck's nuts. This is on a CZ457, but you will get the idea of it all.
Looks good, hardware kit available. You do need a bandsaw or have a local business that will cut for you. A fretsaw will work, but may take a couple of hours careful cutting.

Yes, quite professional looking and seems that it works fine.
I've had my share of foam and tape before. Now I like things looking 'nice', and that's the job I'd do if I had to (although I do have a nice wee bandsaw here so I would have an easier job of it).
Give me a yell if you want to do that job on a stock.

Cut some tyre inner tube and stretch it over the foam/vet tape.

    Looks much tidier.
