Thread: Chopping a 270?

Hi everyone. Looking at getting a new rig for open tops hunting. Hopefully to shoot out to 500 yards. Most likely a tikka T3 in 270.

I would like to chop the barrel down to allow for suppressor. Question is what length barrel would it be okay to go down to without compromising accuracy?

Will it have any issues with the burning of powder with a short barrel? Will be buying factory ammo.
